General Directorate of Meteorology warns: Temperatures are dropping, rain is coming!

According to forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation expected across the Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean (except Hatay), Central Anatolia, Black Sea, the north and west of Eastern Anatolia, as well as the surroundings of Muş, Bitlis, Bingöl, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, and Siirt.

Precipitation is expected to be in the form of rain and showers in the Marmara, coastal Aegean, western and central Mediterranean coasts, Black Sea coasts, and the surroundings of Manisa, Denizli, Adana, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, and Siirt, and in the form of sleet and snow in other areas receiving precipitation.

Precipitation is expected to be heavy in the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea region and the surroundings of Karaman, Niğde, Kayseri, Sivas, Erzincan, and Tunceli.

Mist and localized fog are expected in the central and eastern parts of the country, along with icing and frost. There is a risk of avalanches on the high slopes of the interior Eastern Black Sea region and the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia.

AIR TEMPERATURE AND WIND

Air temperatures are expected to decrease by 3 to 5 degrees in the northern, central, and western parts.

The wind is generally expected to blow from northern directions, light to occasionally moderate, and strong (30-60 km/h) from northern directions in the southwest of Marmara and the coastal Aegean.

HEAVY PRECIPITATION WARNING

As precipitation is expected to be heavy in the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea region and the surroundings of Karaman, Niğde, Kayseri, Sivas, Erzincan, and Tunceli, it is necessary to be careful and cautious against potential negative consequences.

STRONG WIND WARNING

As the wind is expected to blow strongly (30-60 km/h) from northern directions in the southwest of Marmara and the coastal Aegean, it is necessary to be careful and cautious against potential negative consequences.

AVALANCHE RISK AND ICING AND FROST WARNING

Due to the snowfall that has occurred in recent days, a high snow cover has formed in the Eastern Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions. As the avalanche risk is considered high in sloping areas with high snow cover in these regions, relevant authorities and our citizens must be careful and cautious.
