Gezici Research poll: AKP overtakes CHP, third-place party changes
Gezici Research has shared the results of its latest election poll. According to the results, contrary to general election polls conducted since the March 31, 2024 local elections, the AKP has overtaken the CHP to take first place. Meanwhile, it was observed that the party in third place has changed.
In addition to the economic crisis, the political tension in Turkey remains high due to operations conducted against the opposition through the judiciary.
While the CHP has launched a signature campaign for the release of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is being held in Silivri Prison, and for early elections, public opinion research companies have also accelerated their polling efforts.
Most recently, Gezici Research shared the results of the public opinion survey it conducted in June. In the research study, participants were asked, "If there were a parliamentary election today, which party would you vote for?" The poll results are as follows:
AKP: 35%
CHP: 31.1%
MHP: 9.5%
DEM: 8.2%
