HOW MUCH HAS THE 2025 RETIREE HOLIDAY BONUS BECOME?

This year, retiree holiday bonuses were increased by 33.33 percent. Thus, the bonus amount, which was 3,000 TL, was increased to 4,000 TL. Retirees benefit from this payment twice a year, during Ramadan and Eid al-Adha. With this update, a total of 8,000 TL in bonuses will be paid to retirees in 2025.

PAYMENTS WILL AGAIN BE MADE ACCORDING TO ALLOCATION NUMBER

Before Eid al-Adha, retiree bonuses will be deposited according to the allocation number, just as they were during Ramadan.

A detailed schedule regarding the payment days will be shared with the public by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the SGK in the coming days.

WHO WILL RECEIVE THE HOLIDAY BONUS?

According to legal regulations, the holiday bonus is paid to individuals who are receiving a retirement pension in the month the holiday falls. In this context, those who submitted their retirement application between March 1 and May 31 will receive their first bonus during Eid al-Adha. For those who applied in May and have not yet had their retirement pension finalized, their bonuses will be deposited into their accounts along with their first pension payment.

Additionally, beneficiaries who were granted a widow or orphan pension for the first time in March, April, May, and June will also earn the right to receive their first bonus during Eid al-Adha.

BONUS FOR WIDOWS AND ORPHANS IN PROPORTION TO THEIR SHARES

Holiday bonuses are paid by distributing them to eligible beneficiaries based on the file of the deceased person. Individuals receiving a widow or orphan pension are given the 4,000 TL bonus in proportion to their shares from a single file.

Those receiving a widow or orphan pension due to the deceased person receive payment according to their eligibility ratio.

Widows who are working as insured employees or receiving a pension from their own retirement, and whose children have also been granted an orphan pension, are given a 50 percent widow's pension. In this case, a 2,000 TL bonus will be paid during Eid al-Adha.

Widows who do not work at any job, do not receive a pension from their own work, and whose children have not been granted an orphan pension are granted a 75 percent widow's pension. In this case, the holiday bonus will be 3,000 TL.

While daughters receiving an orphan pension alone receive a 50 percent death pension, those who share it with their siblings are paid at a rate of 25 percent. In this context, a 2,000 TL holiday bonus will be deposited for children receiving a 50 percent pension, and 1,000 TL for those receiving a 25 percent pension.

A permanent incapacity income is granted to individuals who experience at least a 10 percent loss of labor force due to a work accident or occupational disease. The holiday bonus to be paid to these individuals is calculated according to the rate of loss. For example, those with a 10 percent loss of labor force are given a 400 TL bonus, while those with a 40 percent loss are given 1,600 TL.
