He had given contradictory statements: License Plate Recognition System records of Narin's uncle Salim Güran have emerged
The contradictions in the statements of uncle Salim Güran, who was arrested for being the perpetrator of the brutal murder of Narin Güran in Diyarbakır, have been revealed by the License Plate Recognition System (PTS).
A gendarmerie report regarding the License Plate Recognition System (PTS) records of uncle Salim Güran, who is in custody in the murder case of Narin Güran—who was made to appear as if she had gone missing in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later—has been submitted to the court file.
According to a report by Özgür Cebe from Sözcü, the routes the uncle used on the roads between August 21, the day Narin went missing, and August 29 were recorded second by second in the PTS records and added to the case file with a technical analysis report containing photographs.
The report contains significant details showing that the times in the report do not overlap with Salim Güran's statements.
Accordingly, it was determined that uncle Salim left Tavşantepe Village at 11:24 on August 21, the day Narin went missing, in his vehicle with license plate 47 KF 388 and was traveling toward the Diyarbakır city center near the Çarıklı town on the Mardin road.
It was determined that he arrived at the traffic lights at the Karacadağ Boulevard Alay intersection at 11:32 and in front of the Ziraat Bank in the Kuru Çeşme area at 11:34.
It was revealed second by second through the License Plate Recognition System records that he passed in front of the Akar Petrol on Karacadağ Boulevard at 11:49 and entered Diclekent Boulevard via the Şanlıurfa Boulevard at 11:53.
It was determined that uncle Salim Güran was traveling on the New Mardin Road, Şehitlik Street at 14:28, and was on his way back toward Tavşantepe Village near the Çarıklı town on the Mardin Road at 14:33.
HTS AND PTS RECORDS CONTRADICT WITH TIME DIFFERENCES
In his statement, uncle Salim Güran had claimed that he was working in the field on the day of the incident, and then came to the Diyarbakır city center to buy school uniforms for his children because schools were opening, and returned after shopping with his children.
Explaining that he also bought fuel on the way, the uncle claimed that he did not buy wet wipes at the gas station and that the allegations that he destroyed DNA evidence belonging to Narin found inside the vehicle did not reflect the truth.
It was determined that the times in both the technical analysis report prepared by the gendarmerie and the expert report regarding the narrowed HTS records—which were submitted to the file concerning PTS records, narrowed HTS records, base station overlaps, and signal base information—are not consistent with uncle Salim Güran's statements and that there are contradictions regarding time differences.
It was reported that uncle Güran will have his statement taken again at the hearing on December 26 due to these material contradictions that have emerged.
