16-year-old high school student B.Y.E., who stabbed the assistant principal of his school in the throat in Büyükçekmece, said in his statement: "I sent a message to the girl I liked a day before. I said, 'I bought you a gift, come tomorrow and I'll give it to you. I'll take you somewhere where no one will bother us and give it to you there.' If that girl had come, I would have taken her to the fire escape. Even if she screamed there, no one could have heard her. I was going to knock her unconscious with a hammer first, then stab her. I was going to dismember her."

It has emerged that Yağmur, the high school student targeted by these chilling statements, escaped the atrocity because she could not wake up and did not go to school that day.

"MY FRIEND SAW A KNIFE INSIDE THE BOOK"

Yağmur had noticed his erratic behavior and had distanced herself from that friend who had been showing her excessive attention lately. Speaking to Show Haber, Yağmur said, "It was as if he had been planning it for a while. He was either going to stab someone or shoot them. He told me he bought me a gift, he said it was inside a book. My friend said she saw a knife inside the book."

SAVED BY CHANCE

Explaining how she was saved by chance because she did not go to school that day, Yağmur said, "I couldn't wake up, and my mother didn't wake me up," while her mother said, "Thank God I didn't send her."

"IF SHE HAD GONE TO SCHOOL THAT DAY, WE WOULD DEFINITELY BE COLLECTING HER BODY"

Yağmur's father gave a chilling statement: "They have left him out like a live bomb, to attack whoever he wants. If she had gone to school that day, we would definitely be collecting her body. My daughter was saved at the last minute, but your daughter might not be saved."

A SECOND FATIH WALLS INCIDENT WAS ALMOST EXPERIENCED

The father also compared the incident to the atrocity at the city walls. Last year, in Istanbul's Fatih district, a murderer named Semih Çelik killed 19-year-olds Ayşenur Halil and İkbal Uzuner half an hour apart.

The murderer, who dismembered Uzuner's body and threw her severed head from the Edirnekapı walls, then jumped to his death.
