It is stated that the mobbing allegations cover not only Karadağlı but also Deputy General Manager Sükun Işıtan. These events are not seen as "ordinary incidents that could happen in any institution" and are being handled seriously.

According to some assessments, Tamer Karadağlı attracting President Erdoğan's negative attention could also jeopardize the position of Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. This process could affect Ersoy's seat and cause further debate in the public eye.

Karadağlı's failure to renew the teaching permits of 12 faculty members at Hacettepe University State Conservatory had also been criticized. Allegations had surfaced in the lobbies that Karadağlı cited the relationships of some faculty members with CHP-run municipalities as the reason, but that these professors were removed from their posts because they called Karadağlı "white tin."
