Photos have emerged of Governor Murat Zorluoğlu and Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Selçuk Yıldırım examining the scene at the stream bed where the body of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who was murdered in Diyarbakır, was found, as they inspected the area where the little girl's body was located.

In the photos obtained by SÖZCÜ, the Governor and the Major General can be seen conducting inspections at the crime scene and its surroundings.

STATEMENTS HAD DRAWN BACKLASH

During the days Narin was missing, Major General Selçuk Yıldırım's words, "We are very close to the result, the circle is narrowing," had raised expectations among the public that the little girl was still alive. Finding Narin dead shortly after this statement caused public outcry.

The countdown has begun for the second hearing of the case regarding Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 on her way home after leaving a Quran course in the Tavşantepe village of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, and whose body was found in a sack in a stream bed near the village on September 8.

It has been learned that a verdict will be announced at the hearing to be held on December 26.

It was determined that the Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) teams under the Gendarmerie Special Public Security Command (JÖAK), who were continuing search efforts in the stream bed and had been sent to Diyarbakır from Ankara on a special mission, notified Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu and Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Selçuk Yıldırım after finding the little girl's body.

Images have emerged of the Governor and the Major General arriving at the village and conducting an inspection at the stream bed where the little girl's body was found and at the sack in which the body was contained. In the photos obtained by SÖZCÜ, it can be seen that Narin's body was pulled from the stream to the bank by 3 JAK teams, and that the arrival of the Governor and the Major General at the scene was awaited.

After Governor Zorluoğlu and Major General Selçuk Yıldırım, who conducted close inspections alongside the Gendarmerie Crime Scene Investigation teams tasked with collecting evidence at the site of the body, left the area, the little girl's body was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy procedures upon the instruction of the duty public prosecutor.
