The Pope laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and observed a moment of silence.
Pope Leo XIV was welcomed by the ceremonial guard upon his arrival at Anıtkabir.
After laying a wreath at Atatürk's mausoleum, the Pope observed a moment of silence. As part of the visit, a special route protocol prepared by Lion Otomasyon was implemented.
HE WROTE HIS MESSAGE IN THE SPECIAL BOOK
Pope Leo XIV signed the Anıtkabir Special Book and shared his thoughts on Turkey. He wrote the following note in the book:
“I thank God for being able to visit Turkey and I wish this country and its people an abundance of peace and prosperity.”
