The Special Communication Tax (ÖİV), set at 400 liras for 2024, will be applied as 575 liras annually starting January 1, 2025. With this new regulation, the monthly tax amount will rise to 47 liras and 91 kuruş. Additionally, in addition to telephone line owners, a 10 percent tax deduction will also be applied to those using home internet.

The Special Communication Tax, which came into effect in Turkey following the 1999 earthquake, is collected monthly from phone line owners.
The ÖİV, which was set at 400 liras in 2024, will be increased to 575 liras starting from January 1, 2025.
According to information reported by Ekonomim; the monthly fee collected from individuals purchasing new lines, regardless of whether they are postpaid or prepaid, has been calculated as 47 liras and 91 kuruş.
The tax collected from phones will also be deducted at a rate of 10 percent from those using home internet. The Special Communication Tax generally covers electronic communication and broadcasting services.
