Huge demand for Dubai chocolate: Factories are giving dates 3 months out

Burhan Dişlioğlu, a shopkeeper in Edirne, said, "There is tremendous demand, but there is no product; we cannot find it. There is a problem with the product. Factories are giving dates 3 months out."

In Edirne, 200 grams of Dubai chocolate, which is in high demand by Bulgarian and Romanian tourists, is being sold for 400 liras.

Stating that there is intense demand for Dubai chocolate, shopkeeper Burhan Dişlioğlu said, "There is currently tremendous demand. Those who sell high-quality versions are at the forefront. Because it is a new product filled with plenty of pistachios, there is huge demand."

'FACTORIES ARE GIVING DATES 3 MONTHS OUT'

Dişlioğlu stated, "There are 60, 100, and 200-gram versions. But of course, the price goes up to 600, 700, or 1,000 liras. There is good demand from Bulgaria and Romania, but there is no product; we cannot find it. There is a problem with the product. Factories are giving dates 3 months out."

'I HAD PAID 650 LIRAS FOR THE ONE I BOUGHT BEFORE'

Hayati Çelik, who stated that he last bought pistachio kunafa chocolate 2 weeks ago, used the following expressions:

"It is quite good; I had paid 650 liras for the one I bought before, and it didn't taste this good. I bought it 2 weeks ago when my guests arrived. I am going to buy some more now."
