İmamoğlu and Erdoğan poll: The election ends in the first round!
ALF Research has shared the results of its latest public opinion poll, conducted between May 1 and May 10 with 3,920 participants. In a hypothetical race between AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently imprisoned in Silivri Prison, the election concludes in the first round. The responses from AKP, MHP, and YRP voters in the survey results were particularly noteworthy.
ALF Research has shared the results of its field study, conducted face-to-face with 3,920 people between May 1 and May 10, with the public.
Participants were asked the question, "If the Presidential Election were held this Sunday, which candidate would you vote for?"
İMAMOĞLU ENDS THE RACE IN THE FIRST ROUND
According to the research published under the title "Turkey's Voter Panorama," Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently imprisoned in Silivri Prison, wins the election in the first round with 50.5 percent of the vote.
In the poll, the rate of those stating they would support AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was recorded at 39.8 percent, while the rate of those expressing they were undecided stood at 9.7 percent.
SURPRISE SUPPORT FOR İMAMOĞLU
While 13.4 percent of voters within the AKP base declared they would support İmamoğlu, 11 percent have not yet made a clear choice. The rate of those saying Erdoğan remained at 75.6 percent.
A remarkable distribution was also observed among MHP voters. While 26.6 percent stated they would vote for İmamoğlu, 9.8 percent said they were undecided. The rate of those supporting Erdoğan was 63.6 percent.
While 30.5 percent of Yeniden Refah Party voters stated they would cast their vote for İmamoğlu, 15.9 percent remained undecided. The rate of those saying Erdoğan was determined to be 53.6 percent.
