Is Akşener behind the resignations in the İYİ Party?
While allegations that Kürşad Zorlu, who resigned from the İYİ Party, will join the AKP have come to the fore, journalist İsmail Küçükkaya has put forward a significant claim.
İYİ Party Spokesperson and Ankara Deputy Kürşad Zorlu announced his resignation from his party in a statement on his social media account.
In his statement, Zorlu said, "I have made an effort worthy of the honorable deputy badge that my nation pinned to my lapel. However, at this point, I have seen that the opportunity to move forward in line with a common goal that would carry this hope into the future has been lost."
IT WAS CLAIMED THAT ZORLU WOULD JOIN THE AKP
While rumors that Zorlu would join the AKP continue to be discussed, İsmail Küçükkaya brought up the statements made by former İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener regarding Zorlu on the "Yeni Bir Sabah" program on Halk TV.
'I HAVE BROUGHT EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL'
Küçükkaya reported that when Akşener appointed Zorlu as party spokesperson, she responded to warnings by saying, "Kürşad had his eye on Bahçeli's seat, now he will have his eye on my seat too, but don't you worry, I have brought everything under control."
AKŞENER'S CHIEF OF STAFF HAS STARTED WORKING AT TRT
Stating that some individuals from Akşener's private office began working at TRT following Zorlu's resignation, Küçükkaya used the phrase, "Meral Akşener is looking out for all her friends."
Küçükkaya also raised the claim that the resignations coming from the İYİ Party might have been organized by Akşener.
