Pinpoint strike by Israel on Iran: Claims that Quds Force Commander was killed
Israel targeted Said Izadi, who leads the Palestinian branch of the Revolutionary Guards' Quds Force, in an airstrike in the Iranian city of Qom.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that Said Izadi, the head of the Palestinian Corps affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards' Quds Force, was killed in an attack in the Iranian city of Qom.
Katz described the operation as a "great success for Israeli intelligence and the Air Force."
According to Katz's claims, Said Izadi played a significant role in the support provided to Hamas during the conflict that began in Gaza on October 7, 2023, and is still ongoing. Katz stated that Izadi provided weapons and financial support to Hamas.
Iranian press, however, shared different information regarding the attack. Reporting that Israel carried out an airstrike on a building in the city of Qom early Saturday morning, Iranian media stated that a 16-year-old child lost their life and two people were injured in the attack.
While Iranian sources did not officially name Izadi in relation to the attack, they confirmed that 5 members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed in attacks in Khorramabad.
ISFAHAN NUCLEAR FACILITY ALSO TARGETED
Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency reported that Israel also targeted one of the nuclear facilities in Isfahan, which is one of the largest in the country, on the same day. The report stated that there was no leakage of any hazardous materials.
