'Israeli' security for Jeffrey Epstein's apartment

The US-based non-profit news site Drop Site News has alleged, based on a series of emails recently released to the public by the US Department of Justice, that security systems were installed by the Israeli government in the apartment building where Epstein stayed during his visits to New York.

ALLEGEDLY INSTALLED IN THE MANHATTAN BUILDING

The report states that the security equipment in question began to be installed in early 2016 at 301 East 66th Street in Manhattan, a building where former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak also frequently stayed.

It was stated that the apartments where the equipment was installed were among the addresses Epstein used during his visits to New York.

MINISTRY CORRESPONDENCE DETAILED

According to the information in the report, the email correspondence shared by the US Department of Justice indicates that Epstein personally approved the installation of the security system and allowed his staff to hold meetings with Israeli security officials.

The correspondence noted that security work in the apartment where Ehud Barak stayed lasted at least two years and that officials from Israel's Permanent Mission to the United Nations were in regular contact with Epstein's staff regarding security matters.

ALLEGATIONS OF APARTMENTS BEING RENTED

According to the news site, which describes itself as "independent and anti-establishment," it was alleged that some apartments in the building were frequently rented to individuals connected to Epstein.

The report also included allegations that the apartments in question were used to house underage models.

Following reports that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in a Manhattan jail in 2019, information had surfaced in the press regarding Ehud Barak having met with the billionaire businessman multiple times.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for his part, had claimed that the close relationship between Epstein and his rival Barak weakened rather than strengthened Barak's ties to Israel.
