A partial collapse occurred in a 3-story abandoned building in the Balat neighborhood of Fatih. Following the incident, three surrounding buildings were evacuated as a precaution. It was learned that the collapsed building belongs to singer Gökhan Özoğuz. An investigation into the incident has been launched, and it was stated that a decision will be made regarding whether the building will be demolished.
A partial collapse occurred in a 3-story abandoned building on Atgeçmez Street in the Balat neighborhood of Fatih yesterday at around 22:40.
Those who heard the sounds coming from the building notified the police, medical, fire, and AFAD teams.
Teams took extensive security measures in the surrounding area and conducted operations.
Two buildings located next to the structure and one building across from it were evacuated as a precaution.
Collapses also occurred in a portion of the road where the abandoned building is located.
It was learned that a decision on whether the building will be demolished will be made following an examination of samples to be taken from the structure.
On the other hand, it has been revealed that the 3-story building where the collapse occurred belongs to singer Gökhan Özoğuz, known as Athena Gökhan.
