Murat Ülker, a board member of Yıldız Holding and Turkey's wealthiest businessperson with a net worth of 5.4 billion dollars, has responded to recent public claims that the "Ülker Group has moved to England."

Speaking to Ekonomi Gazetesi columnist Sadi Özdemir, Ülker made notable remarks regarding both his personal life and company operations.

"I AM LIVING IN MY MOTHER'S HOUSE"

Stating that rumors about him buying a house in London are baseless, Ülker said, "I don't understand how this started. I don't have another house, I'm not looking for one, and I don't need one. I am living in my mother's house, thank God. My father had put the house in my mother's name, and we have done the same. We are all children living in the same house."

"HE SOLD GODIVA TO THE ISRAELIS" CLAIM

Ülker also clarified social media claims directed at him suggesting that he "sold Godiva to the Israelis." Stating that these claims are also baseless, Ülker emphasized that the company's operations continue to be based in Turkey.

Ülker also announced that they have purchased the world's first biscuit factory in Scotland.

Noting that 85 thousand people are employed under the Yıldız Holding umbrella, Ülker stated that 20 thousand of them work abroad.

Categorically denying the claims that "the Ülker Group moved to England and relocated all its operations there," Ülker used the following expressions in his statement:

"We registered it in Turkey. They say, 'He took the money and left.' Of course, you can send money to your children, but capital transfer requires Treasury approval. It is like this everywhere in the world."
