Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu graces the headlines of pro-government media: Support with a caricature!

While all eyes in the CHP are turned to the convention trial scheduled for June 30, the claim of "absolute nullity" continues to occupy the agenda. Within the framework of this debate, CHP Party Assembly Member Engin Özkoç, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer visited former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

During the visit, the three figures proposed that Kılıçdaroğlu "make a public statement of support against the appointment of a trustee to the CHP if a decision of absolute nullity is issued."

However, Kılıçdaroğlu did not accept this proposal. The former Chairman's response was as follows:

"I cannot make such a statement. I hope a decision of absolute nullity is not issued, but if it is, I cannot abandon my party to a trustee. If I don't accept it, a trustee will come. Should I leave it to a trustee? After the decision, I will sit down and talk with Özgür Özel."

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's statement, "I will not leave the CHP to a trustee," graced the headlines of the pro-government Akit newspaper. In today's headline, the newspaper announced this development with the title "The Footsteps of Mr. Kemal."

In the report, it was claimed that the CHP is in turmoil and the convention process has turned into a crisis, while it was suggested that Kılıçdaroğlu could return to the stage.

CARICATURED SUPPORT FOR KILIÇDAROĞLU FROM AKİT

Akit newspaper also supported its headline story with a caricature. In the caricature, the doors of the CHP Headquarters were depicted with boards nailed to them, inscribed with terms such as "corruption," "towers of money," "suspicion," and "theft." Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was drawn arriving at the party door as a savior, holding repair tools.

While scenarios regarding Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu potentially aspiring to party leadership again are being discussed in political circles, the possibility of the party being handed over to a trustee if an "absolute nullity" decision is reached in the trial on June 30 remains on the agenda.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office accepted the indictment prepared today regarding the investigation into the CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention, conducted in accordance with Article 112 of the Law on Political Parties and other relevant legislative provisions. The indictment seeks prison sentences of up to 3 years for 12 people, including the detained Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. In addition to İmamoğlu, names such as İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay and CHP İstanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik were also included. In the indictment, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was listed as a victim, and former Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Lütfü Savaş was listed as a complainant. The second hearing will be held on June 30.
