The undergraduate diploma that Abdülhamid Kayıhan Osmanoğlu, who claims to be the 4th-generation grandson of Abdulhamit II, received from the Department of History at Inönü University's Faculty of Science and Letters has been canceled.
The testimony of suspect Ziya Kadiroğlu, known in the case file as "Teacher Ziya," drew attention.
In his defense sent from Sincan Prison to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Kadiroğlu stated that he handled Osmanoğlu's diploma transaction under the instructions of Alsancak Party Chairman Nuri Çelebi.

In his statement, Kadiroğlu noted that Çelebi told him, "Abdülhamit Kayıhan Osmanoğlu needs this diploma so that he can be a presidential candidate in the future." He confessed that the fake transaction was carried out in accordance with these instructions.
