Following the arrest of Mehmet Akif Ersoy as part of a drug investigation, Erbaş, who is facing a difficult process in her personal life, shared her experiences with her followers.

“I SPENT A PERIOD OF MY LIFE IN A LIE”

Erbaş described the process she is going through with the words, "I am facing the reality that a period of my life was spent in lies, deception, and fabrication." In her statement on the social media platform X, she stated that she is going through a difficult time and used the following expressions:

"I am going through a process that is too difficult to describe with words. I am facing the reality that a period of my life was spent in lies, deception, and fabrication. For days, I have been presenting news that is shattering and of indescribable weight to me, without sleep. In the first few days, I thought I could endure it and continue my life without disrupting my work. However, my strength has run out."

Pınar Erbaş sincerely expressed the internal difficulties and feelings of burnout she experienced while continuing her journalism profession. Stating that she lost her strength while trying to balance her work pace and personal life, Erbaş said, "I have no strength left to present even a single news story on the subject. For this reason, I requested leave to stay away from the screen for a while. I would like to thank my managers for understanding this request and approaching my situation with sensitivity."

CLAIMS OF BEING GRANTED LEAVE BY THE SDIF

Following Pınar Erbaş's departure from the screen, claims emerged in some media outlets that her employment had been terminated by the SDIF (Savings Deposit Insurance Fund). However, Erbaş denied these claims, explaining that she had taken a short break of her own volition.
