Ministry issues another warning... Bad news for coffee and chocolate lovers: Brands exposed one by one

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has announced that it has detected pharmaceutical raw materials in widely consumed products such as chocolate and coffee.
The Ministry has exposed the companies producing these products and has imposed penalties on the relevant firms.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, some products containing pharmaceutical active ingredients were identified as a result of inspections. These products include the following:
Gold İlaç Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi (Istanbul): Pharmaceutical active ingredient detected in coffee.
Centuar Gıda İlaç Kozmetik ve Kuyumculuk Sanayi Ticaret Anonim Şirketi (Istanbul): Pharmaceutical active ingredient detected in chocolate.
Sözcü Gıda ve Kozmetik Limited Şirketi (Istanbul): Pharmaceutical active ingredient detected in candy.
A warning was issued that these products containing pharmaceutical active ingredients could pose serious dangers to public health.
Nurten Saydan, President of the All Pharmacists Employers' Union (TEİS), listed the possible effects of these substances on human health as follows: "They can lead to complaints such as nosebleeds, headaches, heartburn, skin redness, difficulty sleeping, blurred vision, shortness of breath, and nasal congestion. These situations pose a serious danger to public health."
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that inspections against such products will continue in order to protect public health and that they will take strict measures against the use of such dangerous substances.
