National athlete's day off turns into a nightmare: Gym owner pulls a gun and orders a beating!

National athlete Semih Topçu, who works at a gym in the Nilüfer district of Bursa, was called in by the business owner, Baki K., on his day off.

According to allegations, Topçu was taken into a room under the pretext of talking, where he was threatened with a gun. Subsequently, bodyguards entered the room and, following Baki K.'s order to "hit him," beat the national athlete for minutes with kicks and punches.

Those moments were captured on security cameras, and Topçu's calm demeanor in the face of the attack drew attention.

The ordeal faced by Topçu, a bodybuilder and badminton player who represents Turkey in international competitions and won the 'Champion of Champions' title in Serbia, is not limited to just this attack.

The business owner had sent insulting messages and began systematic mobbing after Topçu refused to work overtime.

FRACTURES SUSTAINED, COMPLAINT FILED

Semih Topçu, who suffered fractures in his body as a result of the beating, filed a complaint against both Baki K. and the bodyguard involved in the attack, Yusuf İslam D. After being taken into custody, business owner Baki K. was released by the court under house arrest.

The bodyguard, who has a criminal record of 13 offenses and had fled after the incident, surrendered 10 days later, but he was also released under judicial control.

TRAINED AT HOME WHEN GYMS CLOSED

Topçu, who has been involved in bodybuilding for about 13 years, became known as an athlete who continued his training in a 15-square-meter room in his home during the pandemic.
