New decision regarding Batuhan Karadeniz! Access to his accounts blocked
An access block has been imposed on the social media accounts of famous footballer Batuhan Karadeniz over allegations that he participated in illegal betting advertisements. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office accepted the request to shut down Karadeniz's YouTube and Instagram accounts.
The investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Cyber Crimes Investigation Bureau into allegations of encouraging illegal betting, which includes celebrities and social media influencers among the suspects, is ongoing.
According to the report on CNN Türk, upon the prosecutor's office's request, an access ban has been imposed on the YouTube and Instagram accounts of former footballer Batuhan Karadeniz, who is among the social media influencers.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The prosecutor's office requested an access ban from the duty Magistrate Judge for the closure of the accounts.
Evaluating the request, the court decided to shut down Karadeniz's Instagram and YouTube accounts.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had previously issued detention warrants for 23 suspects, including social media influencers and several famous names, as part of the investigation into allegations of encouraging illegal betting.
It was determined that the suspects alleged to have appeared in illegal betting advertisements included singer Serdar Ortaç, presenter Mehmet Ali Erbil, former footballer Batuhan Karadeniz, social media influencers İbrahim Yılmaz, Muzaffer Zorbey Erkoçkar, Sefa Caner Sarıçam, and Aleksander Mensikof, who holds both Russian and Turkish citizenship.
