New details emerge from MIT operations: This is the method they use to seize personal information

The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has conducted a cyber espionage operation targeting the personal data of citizens of the Republic of Turkey. 5 people, including the managers and developers of software known as "Avatar" and "Adalet," have been arrested.

CYBER SECURITY OPERATION

In coordination with the Gendarmerie General Command (JGK) and the National Cyber Incident Response Center (USOM), the MIT carried out a critical operation to ensure national cyber security. This operation marked a significant step toward the protection of citizens' personal data.

ILLEGAL USE OF SOFTWARE

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that the "Avatar" and "Adalet" software were used by hundreds of lawyers and that citizens' personal data were accessed illegally through these programs.

It was revealed that the software was sold with misleading information claiming it worked in integration with UYAP (National Judiciary Informatics System), and thus reached a wide user base.

5 PEOPLE ARRESTED IN OPERATION

In light of the intelligence provided by the MIT, the developers and managers of the software were detained in simultaneous operations held in Istanbul and Izmir. The individuals were arrested by the court they were brought before and sent to prison.

INVESTIGATIONS CONTINUE

Within the scope of the operation, investigations are ongoing regarding the lawyers who used the software and the financial aspects of these activities.
