New development in the Bolu fire investigation! Decision reached regarding hotel owner Halit Ergül's wife
As part of the investigation into the fire in Bolu that claimed 78 lives, an international travel ban has been imposed on Emine Murtezaoğlu Ergül, the wife of hotel owner Halit Ergül and a partner in Grand Kartal A.Ş. While the investigation into the fire continues, new detentions and arrests are also taking place.
78 people lost their lives in the fire that broke out on the night of January 21 at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Kartalkaya.
Of the 30 people detained as part of the fire investigation, 19 suspects, including hotel owner Halit Ergül, general manager Emir Aras, Bolu Deputy Mayor responsible for the fire department Sedat Gülener, and Acting Fire Chief Kenan Coşkun, were arrested. 8 suspects were released under judicial control, while 1 suspect was released after their statement to the prosecutor's office.
NEW DETENTIONS
Within the scope of the investigation, Bolu Provincial Special Administration Secretary General Sırrı Köstereli and Deputy Secretary General Bünyamin Bal were detained by the gendarmerie yesterday. It was stated that the questioning of the suspects is ongoing.

Additionally, the prosecutor's office issued a travel ban as a judicial control measure for Emine Murtezaoğlu Ergül, who is the wife of the detained Halit Ergül and also a shareholder of Grand Kartal A.Ş.
