New development regarding missing businessman Halit Yukay: Traces found on the ship
Friction marks have been found on the bow of the ship Arel 7, which is alleged to have collided with Halit Yukay's shattered boat. While the captain has been arrested, Coast Guard teams continue their search efforts for the businessman.
Businessman Halit Yukay set off from Yalova towards Bozcaada on August 4 at 15:10.
However, there has been no word from his boat, named Graywolf, since that day. While parts of the boat have been found in the Sea of Marmara, teams are continuing their search for Yukay without interruption.
FRICTION MARKS IDENTIFIED ON THE BOW OF THE SHIP ALLEGED TO HAVE CAUSED THE COLLISION
During the investigation by Coast Guard teams, friction marks were detected on the bow of the dry cargo ship named Arel 7, which is alleged to have collided with the businessman's boat.
The Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting a detailed investigation into the ship traffic in the region and the route of the Arel 7.
Photographs showing the friction marks found on the ship have also been included in the investigation file.
CAPTAIN OF THE AREL 7 SHIP ARRESTED
As a result of the investigation launched following the allegations, the captain of the Arel 7 ship, which is stated to have collided with the boat, was taken into custody and arrested by the court he was brought before.
