New footage obtained in the Narin Güran murder case! He walked 150 meters with the body

The investigation continues into the murder of Narin Güran, who was reported missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district in Diyarbakır, and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later.

In the brutal murder that has dominated Turkey's agenda, 12 people, including Narin's mother, brother, and uncle, have been arrested.

Following the discovery of 8-year-old Narin's lifeless body, a new development has emerged regarding Nevzat Bahtiyar, the detained suspect who confessed to hiding the body in the Eğertutmaz Stream.

According to a report by Özgür Cebe from Sözcü, it has been reported that the most critical evidence that will reveal the identity of the killer or killers in the Narin Güran investigation is the camera footage sent to TÜBİTAK.

Footage from the camera known as "Falcon Eye," which has a 360-degree field of view overlooking the Eğertutmaz Creek and the plain where cotton and corn fields are located below the village and has an effective range of 20 kilometers, along with camera footage from the school where Narin was last seen at 15:15 on the day of the incident, have been sent to TÜBİTAK for analysis.

DELETED RECORDS AMONG DIGITAL MATERIALS

Following the arrest of uncle Salim Güran on September 2, the image of the recording device, from which family members had deleted camera footage—which they had installed in their homes but erased upon the discovery of Narin's body on September 8—is also among the digital materials sent to TÜBİTAK for recovery.

It was noted that the results obtained from the footage, which will be analyzed by a 6-person expert committee, will guide the investigation.

HE TURNED THE VEHICLE TOWARD THE VILLAGE AND WALKED TO THE CREEK WITH THE BODY

Meanwhile, significant findings were reached in the footage reflected in the records of the Falcon Eye camera belonging to the military base area, some of which has been analyzed.

In the 7-minute and 28-second footage, it was determined that the confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar proceeded along the stabilized road from the village toward the creek bed in his vehicle with license plate 23 AN 630, and stopped at a point close to the creek.

It was determined that after parking his running vehicle under the trees, Bahtiyar turned back in the direction of the village, and then, after getting out of the vehicle with the sack containing Narin's body in his arms, he walked toward the edge of the stream.

SATELLITE IMAGERY AND COORDINATES OF THE AREA EXTRACTED

An examination of the satellite imagery of the distance walked and the coordinates extracted for the area where the individual was located revealed that they walked 150 meters without ever dropping or setting down the sack containing the body, and directly at a point where the soil meets the water, they lowered the sack from their arms, first tied its opening, and waited for a while.

According to satellite imagery, it was determined that at the second attempt, at coordinates 37.SBF 06008 89639 where the stream meets the soil, Nevzat Bahtiyar hid the body inside a sack under a rock fragment and secured it with 3 large rock fragments to prevent the body from being swept away by the current.

HE SECURED IT UNDER A ROCK TO PREVENT IT FROM WASHING ASHORE AND ACCELERATED ITS DECOMPOSITION

According to information reflected in the investigation file, it was learned that Nevzat Bahtiyar, fearing that the body might be carried away by the current or wash ashore and be seen by shepherds in the area or villagers along the creek bank, wedged the body under a rock fragment and covered it with large rocks, thereby preventing the evidence from being exposed by ensuring it would decompose rapidly underwater.

The analyzed footage also confirmed the records of the crime scene reconstruction and demonstration conducted by the confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar in the presence of the prosecutor.

According to Nevzat Bahtiyar's crime scene reconstruction report in the case file, after walking 150 meters, he secured the body under a rock at a point where water meets the soil to conceal it, then left the area in his vehicle and headed in the direction of the Çarıklı township.

All eyes are now on the expert report regarding image analysis to be provided by TÜBİTAK.

The presence of 2 additional suspects seen at the scene in the footage, and the identification of these individuals, will also reveal the identity of the killer or killers.
