A new front in the Israel-Iran war: The Prince in exile and PJAK enter the field

The escalating tension between Iran and Israel has led to the opening of new fronts not only on the military field but also in the political arena. As Israel's attacks on Iran continue, exiled political actors and ethnic armed groups have begun to get involved.

PAHLAVI: "THE IRANIAN REGIME IS WEAK, IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE"

Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last Shah of Iran, who left his country following the 1979 Islamic Revolution and has lived in the West since then, has made a new statement through social media and the press. Addressing the Iranian people and the international public, Pahlavi stated that the regime in Iran has weakened and is dragging the country into a catastrophe, and made the following call:

"The Iranian people are being dragged into a terrible war. The regime is weak, fragile. Now is the time to unite, stand against this regime, and take action for change."

Beyond political statements, new actors are also entering the field.

The Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), the Iranian branch of the PKK, announced that it openly supports Israel's attacks on Iran.

In the statement, PJAK, which called on the public in Iran's Kurdish region to rise up against the regime, called for "resistance against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)." The group also declared that it is ready to assist Israeli intelligence.

In a statement released via social media, PJAK called for a new era against the Iranian regime's understanding of "nationalism, centralism, patriarchal structure, and tyrannical power." The group argued that Israel's military operations create an opportunity for a "free, democratic, and liberal Republic of Iran."

The statement included the following remarks:

"This process is a historic threshold for a new national revolution in Iran. The Kurdish people must turn the weakening of the Iranian regime into an opportunity. With international support and internal resistance, this regime can be toppled."
