Newborn prosecutor Yavuz Engin's stern post: 'The necessary action will be taken'

Büyükçekmece Public Prosecutor Yavuz Engin, who is leading the investigation into the 'Newborn Gang,' has issued a warning regarding social media accounts opened using his name.

Engin stated, "Do not pay attention to this account that is impersonating me and harassing people," adding, "The necessary action will be taken as soon as possible."

WARNING REGARDING FAKE ACCOUNTS

New social media accounts have been opened using the name of Büyükçekmece Public Prosecutor Yavuz Engin, who is conducting the investigation into suspects alleged to have acted in collusion with individuals working at the 112 Emergency Call Center in Istanbul to refer newborn emergency patients to pre-arranged private hospital neonatal units, causing their deaths and generating illicit profit.

Following this, Prosecutor Engin issued the following warning on his own social media account:

"Do not pay attention to this account that is impersonating me and harassing people, and please report it.

An investigation has been initiated against the person who owns the account.

The necessary action will be taken as soon as possible."
