Notable activity on the Instagram account of detained Ela Rümeysa Cebeci

The drug investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues to remain on the agenda.

The first operation within the scope of the investigation was carried out on the morning of October 6. Numerous famous actors and singers were taken from their homes by the gendarmerie to have their statements taken.

The drug investigation, which began targeting famous actors and singers, extended to the media world, and former Habertürk TV Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy was arrested and sent to prison on December 11.

News anchor Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who was detained on December 5 before Ersoy's arrest, had been released after her statement was taken and a blood sample was collected.

Cebeci, whose drug test came back positive, was summoned to the courthouse again and, after her statement was taken, was ordered to be arrested on charges of "facilitating the use of narcotic substances."

The activity on the social media account of Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who is being held at the Bakırköy Women's Closed Prison, has drawn attention.

According to Medyaradar, the stories section on Cebeci's Instagram account has been removed.

On the other hand, the number of people Cebeci follows, which was over 4 thousand, has dropped to the 3 thousands on her profile.

These changes in the account of the detained Cebeci did not go unnoticed.

WHO IS ELA RÜMEYSA CEBECİ?

Ela Rümeysa Cebeci was born in Istanbul on May 31, 1988. She stepped into her media career before appearing on screen, starting with radio programs at İstanbul FM around 2011, where she began to gain recognition.

Cebeci, who started her television career as a reporter on TRT 1, also turned to acting during this period.

She had her first acting experience in 2011 with the series Kanıt. She also acted in the series titled Nuri in the same year. Cebeci, who appeared in the 2012 film Fetih 1453, continued her acting career in later years with the series Şevkat Yerimdar.

Continuing her professional life, which she started with radio programming, with television journalism, Ela Rümeysa Cebeci worked for national channels such as Habertürk and Show TV in the following years.
