A note has been found in the prison cell where Faruk Fatih Özer, who was sentenced to prison for cryptocurrency exchange fraud, was found dead.
Thodex founder Faruk Fatih Özer, who was sentenced to up to 11 thousand years in prison for cryptocurrency fraud, was found dead at the Tekirdağ F-Type High-Security Closed Penal Institution.
Özer lost his life in the cell where he was being held alone. Following the incident, an investigation was launched by the Tekirdağ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
ÖZER’S LAST WORDS AND NOTE
According to a report by Habertürk, it was learned that Faruk Fatih Özer told prison guards the evening before his death, "I will be out in February." Before going to bed at night, he also told the guards that he would watch television and then go to sleep.
However, during the morning check, it was determined that Özer was found hanging in the bathroom with a towel and a bedsheet.
Following investigations into Özer's death, a note was found in his cell written with the words, "Place the stool, tighten the rope around your neck."
