Notes of the person who threw explosives in front of Trump's hotel recovered: New details on the attack in the US

The explosion of a Tesla vehicle in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas caused moments of fear on the first day of the new year. Matthew Alan Livelsberger, a member of the US military who was in the vehicle, lost his life, while the explosion also left 7 people in the vicinity with minor injuries.

Notes found on Livelsberger’s phone revealed the motivation behind the incident.

While writing that the US was "terminally ill" and "heading toward collapse," Livelsberger also made references to the war in Ukraine. In his notes, he also stated that he was carrying the heavy burden of his past losses and his experiences in the military.

FIRST STATEMENTS FROM OFFICIALS

FBI official Spencer Evans stated that they believe the incident was “a suicide case of a person suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.”

Other officials announced that no signs of hostility toward Trump were found in Livelsberger’s notes.

Las Vegas Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill stated that Livelsberger shot himself in the head just before the vehicle exploded and that the weapon was found inside the vehicle. The incident caused a major stir in the city.
