On-site investigations begin following helicopter crash in Muğla
Four people lost their lives in an air ambulance helicopter crash that occurred at the Muğla Training and Research Hospital. Accident investigation teams have conducted an examination at the scene.
Two pilots, one doctor, and one medical staff member lost their lives in an air ambulance helicopter crash that occurred in Muğla this morning.
Following on-site investigations, the bodies were transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute. In the evening hours, an accident investigation team from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and crime scene investigation teams from the Muğla Police Department began work at the site.
The teams conducted examinations inside the building struck by the helicopter, in the area where the helicopter crashed, and on the helicopter itself.
As the teams completed their work, it was learned that Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) teams would also arrive in the region in the coming hours to conduct investigations, after which the wreckage would be removed from the site.
Meanwhile, it was stated that the Muğla Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has assigned two prosecutors to investigate the accident.
