Open support for Israel from PJAK: 'We are ready, we will join'
Hüseyin Yazdan Banah, leader of the PKK's Iranian branch PJAK, announced that they would support Israel in a potential Israel-Iran war and that they are ready to participate in the conflict. A harsh message was also sent to Turkey.
Hüseyin Yazdan Banah, the leader of the Kurdish armed terrorist organization PJAK, known as the Iranian wing of the PKK, announced in a statement made in Erbil that they support potential Israeli military attacks against Iran.
Speaking directly, Yazdan Banah said, "We are ready to participate in an attack on Iran. We will do whatever is necessary to ensure our dominance in the region."
This statement drew attention as the first message in which PJAK clearly declared that it could take its place on the Israeli front.
In a written statement released to the public, PJAK stated that they have undergone radical changes in their organizational structure over the last year. The statement said, "We are in a process of new restructuring. We will never give up our Kurdish identity and our rights. We will continue our struggle under all conditions."
The organization argued that within the scope of their new strategies, they are closely following regional developments and possess the capacity to adapt to changing balances.
Another notable part of the statement emphasized that PJAK has the "power and military potential to adapt to any condition." The organization also clearly announced that they could actively participate in potential conflicts in the region.
PJAK's statement also included remarks directed at Turkey. Reacting to Turkey's criticisms of Israel, the organization said, "The Turkish state should first solve its own internal problems."
