Political parties' 'Three Saplings' messages! 'Greetings to...'

Left-wing and socialist political parties issued commemoration messages for the 53rd anniversary of the execution of Deniz Gezmiş, Hüseyin İnan, and Yusuf Aslan, revolutionary leaders of the '68 Generation.

In a post shared by the CHP, it was stated: "The homeland is not for those who sell it off parcel by parcel, but for those who went to the gallows for its sake! We commemorate Deniz Gezmiş, Yusuf Aslan, and Hüseyin İnan, who fought at the cost of their lives for the full independence of our country, with love and respect."

In a statement published on the DEM Party's social media account, it was said: "We commemorate Deniz Gezmiş, Hüseyin İnan, and Yusuf Aslan, who set out to turn the ideals of equality, freedom, and socialism of the peoples of Turkey into reality and sacrificed their lives for this cause, with longing and gratitude."

Recalling Deniz Gezmiş's words at the gallows, the statement included the following: "While those who executed them are condemned in the conscience of the peoples of Turkey, the 'Three Saplings,' who dedicated their lives to the people, have been enthroned in the hearts of millions with a love that has grown ever stronger despite the half-century that has passed."

The DEM Party's statement and post are as follows:

"We commemorate Deniz Gezmiş, Hüseyin İnan, and Yusuf Aslan, who set out to turn the ideals of equality, freedom, and socialism of the peoples of Turkey into reality and sacrificed their lives for this cause, with longing and gratitude. The execution of Deniz and his comrades, who shouted 'Long live the brotherhood of the Turkish and Kurdish peoples!' even as they went to the gallows, remains a great sin committed against this country, its people, and the future.

While those who executed them are condemned in the conscience of the peoples of Turkey, the 'Three Saplings,' who dedicated their lives to the people, have been enthroned in the hearts of millions with a love that has grown ever stronger despite the half-century that has passed. The torch lit by the 'Three Saplings,' who were symbols of devotion, sacrifice, and living greatly, continues to illuminate the path for both us and everyone who desires equality and freedom today. We commemorate them with a promise of loyalty to their memory, with love and gratitude. We will never forget!"

In a statement made by the Labour Party (EMEP), it was emphasized that the struggle of Deniz Gezmiş, Yusuf Aslan, and Hüseyin İnan continues to live on the side of the people:

"Deniz Gezmiş, Yusuf Aslan, and Hüseyin İnan, who fought for independence, democracy, and socialism, were murdered on May 6, 1972. Contrary to what the March 12 coup plotters imagined, the names of Deniz, Yusuf, and Hüseyin and the struggle they bequeathed 53 years ago continue to live on in the ranks of the peoples who want to build an equal and free world."

"GREETINGS TO THOSE WHO MARCH FOR A FULLY INDEPENDENT TURKEY"

The SOL Party commemorated the three saplings with the words: "Greetings to those who march for a fully independent Turkey. The struggle you waged against the occupiers and their collaborators is rising today in the hands of the youth who have stood up."

The Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) stated: "Our path is the path of socialism, our path is the path of a fully independent Turkey: Our promise to the Denizes will be revolution!"

In a statement published under the title "Turkey's conscience does not bow to the tyrant!", the TKP included the following: "Our word is clear against the NATO supporters, tyrants, and capital who want to drown our country in poverty and darkness: We will definitely build the socialist Turkey of the Denizes' dreams!"
