Poll: Who do young people want to see as president? Early election demand draws attention
In the results of Artıbir Araştırma's Turkey Youth Research survey, the political parties and presidential candidates that young people feel closest to have been revealed. As young people struggle with the cost of living and unemployment, a desire for change in their political preferences stands out. The research highlights the hopelessness of young people regarding the future and their demand for early elections.
The results of the survey titled Turkey Youth Research, conducted by Artıbir Research, have been revealed. The survey showed that while young people are struggling to make ends meet, the majority also lack social security. On the other hand, according to the research, the party and presidential candidate that the majority of young people feel closest to have been identified.
Among the problems that need to be solved to improve the living conditions of young people, the economy ranks first.
UNEMPLOYMENT AFFECTS YOUNG PEOPLE
The research shows that only 34 percent of young people work full-time, 21 percent are unemployed or looking for work, and 15 percent work part-time.
Furthermore, 61 percent of young people are dependent on their families to make a living. This situation hinders the sense of freedom and happiness among young people.
THEY ARE CLOSE TO THE CHP
The political preferences of young people also reflect their economic concerns. According to the research, the majority of young people feel close to the CHP. If an election were held this Sunday, the CHP would emerge as the leading party.
In presidential elections, Ekrem İmamoğlu is the favorite candidate among young people. He is followed by Mansur Yavaş, while Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ranks third.
THEY WANT AN EARLY ELECTION
According to the survey results, 58 percent of young people are hopeless about the future. A large portion of young people demand change; 68 percent want an early election to be held.
Amidst loneliness, unhappiness, and a lack of freedom, young people are seeking political change in the hope of a better life.
