Certain areas in 9 provinces, including Istanbul, have been removed from forest boundaries. The decision was published in the Official Gazette.
Certain areas located in Amasya, Bingöl, Kastamonu, Kütahya, Manisa, Niğde, Mersin, Istanbul, and Samsun have been removed from forest boundaries.
The Presidential Decree regarding the matter has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force.
Accordingly, it has been decided to remove areas with determined boundaries and coordinates in Amasya, Bingöl, Kastamonu, Kütahya, Manisa, Niğde, Mersin, Istanbul, and Samsun from forest boundaries.
An allocation will be made by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change (General Directorate of National Real Estate) to the General Directorate of Forestry for the purpose of establishing forests from immovable properties under the rule and disposal of the state or in the private ownership of the Treasury, in an amount not less than twice the area of land removed from forest boundaries.
