Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş attended the ceremony held for the 102nd anniversary of Ankara becoming the capital. Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor Gökhan Karaköse, who requested an investigation permit from the Ministry of Interior regarding Yavaş, also attended the ceremony.
While the concert investigation into the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues, a request for investigation permission has been filed regarding ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had requested permission from the Ministry of Interior to launch an investigation into ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş and Chief of Staff Nevzat Uzunoğlu on charges of "misconduct in office" and "neglect of supervisory duty."
Making a statement regarding the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's request for investigation permission, ABB Mayor Yavaş said, "There is no need for the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to obtain permission from the Ministry of Interior to conduct an investigation. If they call us, we are ready to give a statement voluntarily. Because we have nothing to hide, fear, or conceal."
While the request for investigation permission regarding Yavaş remains on the agenda, a ceremony was held at Anıtkabir today for the 102nd anniversary of Ankara becoming the capital.
In addition to ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin and Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor Gökhan Karaköse also attended the ceremony.
Şahin, Karaköse, and Yavaş visited the Anıtkabir Command after the ceremony.
