Ser Araştırma poll on İmamoğlu and Özdağ! What do citizens think?
The results of a poll regarding the imprisonment of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Victory Party leader Ümit Özdağ, who are being held at Silivri Prison, have been released.
Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ was arrested on January 21 on charges of inciting the public to hatred and hostility. On March 23, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was also arrested on corruption charges and sent to Silivri Prison.
The Ser Research company conducted a public opinion survey regarding the arrests of İBB Mayor İmamoğlu and Victory Party leader Özdağ. As part of the research, citizens were asked for their opinions on the arrests of İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Victory Party leader Ümit Özdağ. The results of the survey, which was conducted between May 2 and May 5 with 2,010 participants across 26 provinces, drew attention.
While 58.80 percent of participants responded that they "find the arrest of İmamoğlu wrong," the rate of those who said they "find it correct" was 28.35 percent. 12.85 percent of participants responded that they "have no opinion."
On the other hand, participants were asked, "What is your general opinion regarding the arrest of Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ?"
The rate of those who said they "find it wrong" was 52.25 percent, while the rate of those who said they "find it correct" was 32.10 percent. 15.65 percent of participants responded that they "have no opinion."
