Sezgin Baran Korkmaz breaks his silence: Signal of return to Turkey! 'They called me the 2nd Reza Zarrab, it turned out to be a conspiracy'

Sezgin Baran Korkmaz, who was compared to "the 2nd Reza Zarrab" during his time in detention in the US and was alleged to have made confessions regarding Turkey, has broken his silence to evaluate the events.

In the Borajet case opened in the US following a complaint by businessman Yalçın Ayaslı, the opinion submitted to the court by the American prosecution drew attention.

US prosecutors rejected the claims that Korkmaz "cooperated with the Turkish government." In the prosecution's written opinion, it was stated that there is no investigation regarding Turkish officials.

It was also emphasized that the claims that Korkmaz was a "secret witness" do not align with reality. The prosecution stated that such speculations would harm both Korkmaz's case and Turkey's interests.

"THEY CONCOCTED A CONSPIRACY"

Speaking to journalist İsmail Saymaz, Sezgin Baran Korkmaz said that a perception had been created about him in the public eye for years. Stating that "my case has no connection whatsoever with the Republic of Turkey or any state official," Korkmaz claimed that the purpose of the plot against him was to target state institutions.

Claiming that he was subjected to a trial by media during the US process with the "2nd Reza Zarrab" comparison, Korkmaz said, "At that time, they were saying on television every day that 'he testified against Turkey' and 'he became an informant.' Now all of that has collapsed. They came after me with despicable slanders."

"I AM CLEANER THAN 90 OUT OF 100 BUSINESSPEOPLE"

Rejecting the allegations against him, Sezgin Baran Korkmaz also made a jab at the business world. Stating, "I am cleaner than 90 out of 100 businesspeople doing business in Turkey," Korkmaz said he would wage a legal battle against those who spoke about him and would not let these allegations go.

WILL HE RETURN TO TURKEY?

According to what İsmail Saymaz reported, Korkmaz avoided giving a clear date regarding the issue of returning to Turkey. However, he expressed that he would definitely return to Turkey again.
