A primary school teacher working in Bağcılar has been at the center of controversy for telling students "don't wear shorts" and for not mentioning Mustafa Kemal Atatürk while teaching about the War of Independence.

It is alleged that there are many CİMER applications as well as written and verbal complaints against the teacher.

However, it is claimed that these complaints were dismissed by the Bağcılar District Directorate of National Education.

Other allegations raised against the teacher include that they previously shared videos wearing leggings on social media but later began making posts with religious content, and that academic performance in their classroom is low.
