Shocking accusation against Minister Nuri Ersoy: Did he hand over Treasury land to his own company?

CHP Istanbul MP Oğuz Kaan Salıcı has accused Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy of using his ministry to leverage public resources in favor of companies he owns. Salıcı alleged that Ersoy had forest-status Treasury land in Antalya allocated to Nebula Otelcilik, a company affiliated with the ETS group.

''THE ALLOCATION, THE ZONING, AND THE APPROVAL ALL COME FROM WITHIN THE MINISTRY''

According to Salıcı's claim, the allocated land is the size of 8 football fields in total and falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Because the land is located within a Culture and Tourism Protection and Development Zone, it is under the direct control of the ministry. Salıcı stated that the Land Allocation Commission within the ministry transferred the area in question to Nebula Otelcilik.

Stating that the process did not stop there and that the zoning plan, which had previously been canceled 23 times by courts, was prepared anew by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Salıcı said, "An 'EIA is not required' report was also issued to pave the way for the project."

Sharing documents to support his claims, Salıcı added the following:

"This Treasury land is exactly 8 football fields in size, and because it is located within a Culture and Tourism Protection and Development Zone, all authority lies with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The Minister did not hesitate to use this authority in favor of his own company. What did he do? The Land Allocation Commission within the ministry allocated the land to Minister Ersoy's company.

That was not enough; although it had been canceled by the judiciary 23 times before, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism also prepared the zoning plan suitable for the project.

Moreover, an 'EIA is not required' report was also obtained. The Land Allocation Department is part of the General Directorate of Investments and Enterprises, which is affiliated with the Ministry. At the head of this general directorate is Neşe Çıldık, a former ETS employee.

In short, both the opening of Treasury land to zoning and its allocation to the Minister's company are taking place with the approval of a bureaucrat with an ETS background. All these processes are being carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Minister Ersoy, do the evidence and proof we have not even make you blush? You have not thought about this state as much as you have thought about your own company and your family's companies. Where exactly is the limit of shame for you?"
