Sırrı Süreyya Önder met with Perinçek on the day he fell ill... Assassination warning received

Vatan Party Chairman Doğu Perinçek stated that PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan warned Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan about an assassination.

Sırrı Süreyya Önder, a member of the DEM Party Imralı delegation and Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), is still undergoing treatment in the hospital. Önder was hospitalized on the evening of April 14. Having undergone major surgery, Önder remains in intensive care.

Vatan Party Chairman Doğu Perinçek announced that Önder had visited them that day. Perinçek also stated that Öcalan had issued an assassination warning.

Perinçek spoke on Ulusal Kanal.

Perinçek said, “Mr. Önder came to visit us on the day he suffered his heart condition. He had made an appointment beforehand. We hosted him. In that meeting, he conveyed that Öcalan had told them, 'America and Israel will kill you,' which I see no hesitation in repeating since it was also announced by Kandil.”

He stated that Öcalan said America and Israel are against this process and that Önder and Buldan, who are playing a prominent role in this process, could be killed by the US and Israel.

Önder's scheduled meeting with Perinçek was not announced to the press by the DEM Party.
