Son of former Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey kills his mother! His statement has emerged

A chilling incident occurred in the morning hours in the Bağarası neighborhood of İzmir's Foça district. Can Işıklar (28), the son of former Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and father of 6, Fehmi Işıklar (85), allegedly shot his mother, Gülay Işıklar (54), with a handgun during an argument that broke out at home for reasons yet to be determined.

HE KILLED HIS MOTHER WITH A GUN

Upon reports from those who heard the gunshots, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the address. Medical teams confirmed that Gülay Işıklar had lost her life. After an examination, Gülay Işıklar's body was taken to Foça State Hospital and subsequently sent to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. The murder suspect, Can Işıklar, was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams and brought to the District Gendarmerie Command. Following the procedures at the gendarmerie, Işıklar was referred to the courthouse.

HE WAS ARRESTED

Computer engineer Can Işıklar, who shot and killed Gülay Işıklar with a handgun, was arrested by the court to which he was referred.

HIS INITIAL STATEMENT HAS EMERGED

It was learned that Işıklar, who was sent to Aliağa Şakran Prison, stated in his initial testimony that he had shot his mother accidentally.

HIS CAR HAD FLOWN INTO A CREEK BED BEFORE THE INCIDENT

Furthermore, it was revealed that Can Işıklar had been in an accident while returning home with his car, license plate 35 AGV 328, before the incident. It was stated that Işıklar lost control of his car about 1.5 kilometers from home, the vehicle flew into a creek bed, he walked home after being unable to remove the vehicle by his own means, and he killed his mother, Gülay Işıklar, during an argument that broke out for reasons yet to be determined.

HE SERVED IN 3 PARTIES

Fehmi Işıklar, who was elected as a Bursa deputy from the Social Democratic Populist Party (SHP) in the 1987 elections, resigned from the party in 1990 and served as the chairman of the People's Labor Party (HEP). Elected as a Diyarbakır deputy from the SHP in the 1991 elections and serving as the Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey during this period, Işıklar also held positions as deputy chairman in both the SHP and the CHP.
