Journalist Cem Küçük, who is close to the government, made striking claims regarding the investigation into Epözdemir, whose detention period has been extended.

Claiming that the report prepared by the financial police indicates that Epözdemir had acquired a vast fortune and had registered a portion of this wealth under the names of family members, Küçük stated, "It is known that Rezan Epözdemir entered into strange relationships with certain prosecutors and judges, particularly at the Bakırköy Courthouse.
