Striking confession from Salim Güran: 'We chased the DEM Party's food truck out of the village'

In the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, the identity of the person who killed 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later, has still not been clarified.

As the investigation into the incident continues, the imprisoned defendants appeared before the judge for the fourth time to present their defenses.

Salim Güran, the uncle of Narin Güran, who is being tried with a request for a life sentence, along with her mother Yüksel Güran, her older brother Enes Güran, and their neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar, who was determined to have transported the body, made their final defenses in court.

STRIKING DEFENSE FROM UNCLE SALIM GÜRAN

During the hearing, the imprisoned defendant Salim Güran presented his defense against the prosecutor's request for an aggravated life sentence.

Denying the accusations in his defense, Salim Güran said, "There is a death here, why is there so much malice? I did not go to that area. Where is the whole family now? In prison. While we were struggling to find Narin, our entire family is now in prison. Father and son are in prison. But where are Nevzat Bahtiyar and his family members? Outside. He destroyed both our daughter and our family."

Salim Güran addressed state officials, saying, "Please, let a wide-ranging investigation be launched into these law enforcement officers. We are not traitors to the country.

We once chased the DEM Party's food truck out of the village. I wouldn't eat that food even if I were starving to death; they are just looking for a show," he stated. Güran argued that they were innocent and demanded his acquittal.

Güran said, "I have a daughter younger than Narin. I swear my sister-in-law is dying for her children. You killed our daughter, you are casting aspersions on our honor, you are trying to destroy our family. This is injustice," he said.

Güran stated that the accusations in the case were harming them and their families.

In his defense, Salim Güran also reacted to the case's confessor defendant, Nevzat Bahtiyar, noting that Bahtiyar's lawyer had taken a photo with his wife, and said, "Fear God! My heart breaks when I see my brother. Do not play with our honor."

Güran emphasized that he did not accept the accusations and demanded his acquittal.

PHOTOS WITH AKP'S ENSARIOĞLU HAD EMERGED

While questions persist regarding how and by whom 8-year-old Narin Güran was killed in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, whether the family was being protected, and about the weapons reportedly found in the village, it was revealed that AKP MP Galip Ensarioğlu, who had declared the family "our family friends," had hosted Narin Güran's imprisoned uncle, Salim Güran, in Parliament.

The photo was confirmed by a post on the social media account of AKP Diyarbakır MP Galip Ensarioğlu dated December 27, 2023, showing him hosting Salim Güran, who was later arrested in the Narin Güran murder investigation, in his parliamentary office.

In the post Ensarioğlu made on his X account, it was seen that he wrote: "We continue to host our valuable fellow citizens in our Veteran Parliament.
