Striking details about the owner of Maydonoz Döner: Contract with a former captain who took part in the July 15 coup attempt revealed!

Ömer Şeyhin, the owner of Maydonoz Döner, which has links to FETÖ, drew attention with his testimony following a recent FETÖ operation. Şeyhin stated that he learned during his testimony that his business partners and the individuals participating in the meetings were members of the organization.

FROM SHOE SHINING TO A 408-BRANCH CHAIN

Ömer Şeyhin stated that he was born in the Horasan district of Erzurum, completed his middle and high school education through open education after primary school, and arrived in Istanbul in 1992.

He explained that after working as a shoe shiner in Istanbul for about four years, he started working as a dishwasher at the Güllüoğlu baklava company, which has links to FETÖ, and worked there for about 13 years.

Stepping into the döner sector in 2010, Şeyhin worked as a store manager at a döner company. Afterward, he worked as a regional manager at a çiğ köfte company and continued this role for four years and six months.

In 2018, he decided to establish Maydonoz Döner with his knowledge of the döner sector. Şeyhin, who opened his first branch on Nato Yolu in Ankara's Mamak district, was the owner of a döner chain that currently reaches a total of 408 branches in Turkey and abroad.

SIGNED A DOCUMENT WHILE HIDING WITH A CAPTAIN INVOLVED IN THE JULY 15 COUP ATTEMPT

A document for a contract worth 1 million 952 thousand liras, which Şeyhin signed while hiding with a former captain who took part in the July 15 coup attempt, was also found as part of the FETÖ operation.

Questioned by MASAK, Ömer Şeyhin said, "I do not know these people" regarding allegations that he exchanged money with FETÖ members. However, he was able to continue his defense regarding his business partners and some collaborators by claiming he was unaware they were FETÖ members.

Şeyhin stated that the accusations in question were not related to him, saying, "These are slanders by competitors."

ŞEYHİN'S DEFENSE

Stating that the rumors and slanders against him do not reflect the truth, Şeyhin said, "These were created entirely by our competitors or global competitors by creating a perception." The businessman, who argued that he had no connection to FETÖ, insisted that the accusations were baseless.

Şeyhin said the following in his testimony:

-In 2010, I worked as a store manager at a döner company. Later, I started working as a Regional Manager at a çiğ köfte company and worked for 4 years and 6 months. Since 2010, I decided to establish a business in this sector because I believed I would be successful in the food sector, where I have knowledge.

-In 2018, I launched a business under the name SOMCA, the company for Maydonoz Döner. We launched our first branch under the name Maydonoz Döner on Nato Yolu in Ankara's Mamak district. As far as I know, we currently have a total of 408 branches in Turkey and abroad.

Ömer Şeyhin, who was asked by MASAK about account movements linked to FETÖ members and stated that he did not know many of the names he exchanged money with, and who also claimed he was unaware that all the organization members he partnered with were FETÖ members, said in his testimony, "The rumors and slanders against us do not reflect the truth. I think all this gossip and sedition was done entirely by our competitors or global competitors through a perception operation."
