An explosion occurred at an ammunition factory in Balıkesir yesterday morning around 08:25 for reasons yet to be determined. Following initial efforts, it was announced that 11 citizens had lost their lives and 7 people were injured in the explosion.

The identities of those who lost their lives due to the explosion and collapse at the ammunition factory have been determined. Teams are continuing their work at the scene regarding the explosion.

It was determined that the factory personnel who lost their lives in the explosion were Tuğba Demir (21), Çetin Karamüftüoğlu (38), Muhammet Ergin (34), Özlem Özçakır (33), Tuba Sert (41), Enes Kırmızı (28), Seda Akın (35), Seçil Çapa (24), Müberra Sönmez (45), Selin Karanlıkoğlu (27), and Elif Özgür (19). Their bodies were sent to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
