The gap between Erdoğan and the opposition candidate revealed in the latest poll

Yöneylem Social Research Center has conducted the first public opinion survey of the year. In the research, which was carried out with 2,100 people across 81 provinces between January 3-7, citizens were asked about their voting preferences in general and presidential elections.

On the other hand, the research also examined developments in Syria, the DEM-Imralı meetings that began with Bahçeli's call, and the appointment of trustees to municipalities.

The responses to the question 'Who would you vote for if there were an election this Sunday?' before 'undecided voters are distributed' are as follows:

AKP: 24.9 percent

CHP: 24.5 percent

DEM Party: 7.6 percent

MHP: 6.7 percent

İYİ Party: 2.9 percent

According to the research, the picture after the undecided voters are distributed is as follows:

AKP: 31.4 percent

CHP: 30.9 percent

MHP: 8.4 percent

DEM Party: 9.5 percent

İYİ Party: 3.6 percent

The responses to the question, "In general, do you find President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan successful or unsuccessful?" are very close to each other.

While 38.1 percent say 'unsuccessful', 38.7 percent find him successful.

The responses to the question, "If the presidential election were to be held next Sunday, would you vote for Recep Tayyip Erdoğan or the opposition candidate?" are as follows:

Those who say 'Opposition Candidate' are 47.5 percent

Those who say 'Recep Tayyip Erdoğan' are 37.1 percent

While the rate of undecided voters is 9.4 percent, 6 percent say 'I will not vote'.

The responses to the question, "Do you think the overthrow of the Assad regime in Syria has increased the vote share of President Erdoğan and the People's Alliance?" are as follows:

51.1 percent - Yes, developments in Syria have increased the government's vote share

41.5 percent - No, I do not observe an increase in the government's vote share

Participants in the research were also asked about the appointment of trustees to municipalities.

"How do you evaluate the appointment of trustees to municipalities managed by opposition parties?" 55.3 percent answered "I find it wrong," while 34.9 percent answered "I find it right."

"Do you think the CHP mayors, who won many new municipalities in the March 31 local elections, are generally successful or unsuccessful?" In response to this question, 46 percent said "Successful" and 35.4 percent said "Unsuccessful."

57 percent said they found the practice of "seizure of assets from CHP municipalities" 'wrong', while 33 percent said they found it 'right'.

The answers given by the participants to the question, "How do you evaluate MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's calls regarding Abdullah Öcalan?" are as follows:

59.7 percent - I find it wrong, I do not support it

26.3 percent - I find it right, I support it

7.5 percent - I am not aware of Bahçeli's statements

6.5 percent - No answer

To the question, "In your opinion, is Turkey being governed well or badly?" 53.6 percent of the participants answered 'badly', and 24.1 percent answered 'well'.

The rate of those who say 'it is being governed neither well nor badly' is 21.1 percent.

"What are the most important problems that Turkey needs to solve urgently?" Economic problems are in the first place.

85.7 percent answer 'economic crisis, inflation, cost of living'.

'Problems in the legal system' are in second place with a rate of 13.8 percent.

Problems in the education system are in third place with 10.2 percent.

In the research, participants were also asked the question, "Which party do you think will solve Turkey's problems?"

27.6 percent answer AK Party, 20.7 percent answer CHP.

According to the research, the rate of those who say 'None' is 31.4 percent.
