The Azerbaijani press has shared the first preliminary investigation report regarding the Turkish Air Force C-130 military cargo plane that crashed in Georgia on November 11.

According to the report, no signs of external impact, such as holes in the fuselage, burn marks, or missile strikes, were found. No evidence pointing to sabotage or an internal explosion was discovered on the aircraft.

CARGO CONTENT REVEALED

Regarding the load carried by the plane, it was stated that the aircraft was transporting 6 tons of F-16 spare parts, and it was emphasized that there was no ammunition on board.

According to information obtained from ministry sources, the plane crashed while on its return journey after providing logistical support to the Turkish F-16 fleet assigned to the Victory Day ceremonies in Azerbaijan.

The initial report focuses on two possibilities that could have led to the plane's crash. The first is that there may have been structural weakening due to corrosion in the fuselage; the second is that the cargo being carried may not have been properly secured, resulting in instability during the flight.

In addition to these possibilities, allegations of sabotage were clearly rejected.

In a statement made by the Ministry of National Defense, it was announced that flights of the aircraft were suspended as a precaution as of November 12, 2025.

Ministry Spokesperson Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk stated that the aircraft, which was purchased from Saudi Arabia and modernized by Erciyes Avionics, had undergone its planned maintenance and inspection procedures on time.

It was stated that the final maintenance took place between September 11 and October 12, 2025. It was conveyed that flights will resume once technical investigations are completed.

NO EXPLOSIVES FOUND

The Ministry of National Defense also confirmed that no explosive materials were found inside the plane. In the statement made by the ministry, it was said, "Technical investigations have been completed and no explosives were found."
