Born on February 11, 1977, in Safranbolu, Mustafa Üstündağ spent most of his life in Adana. With the experience he gained on theater stages, Üstündağ stepped onto the screen in 1999 and was introduced to television audiences with the series Yılan Hikayesi.

The turning point in Üstündağ's career was the series Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, one of the legendary productions in Turkish television history. Gaining a large fan base with his impressive performance in the series, the actor became one of the leading names in the Turkish television industry.
